Hey everybody, let’s listen to our rap.
This is our rhythm, help us clap.
Respect that rhythm and stay in time
‘cause a RESPECT rap needs rhythm and rhyme!
“But, what do you mean?”, I hear you shout.
Here’s what respect is all about.
We can rap about the environment, respect the land,
Respect Mother Nature, give her a hand.
We can rap about property, houses and cars,
take care of things that are not ours.
We can rap about family, respect them all.
Go back to our family when we hear them call.
We respect our friends,
‘cause our friendships won’t end.
We can rap about our teachers, don’t let them down.
Respect them all – don’t make them frown!
But best of all, save the best for last
Respect yourself – an easy task
Be kind to everyone, show respect.
At the end of the day, it’s a great prospect.
So, always remember, and never forget,
Respect yourself and respect you will get.
