On Friday 4th March, fifth and sixth classes competed in a handball tournament in Clifden Community School Gym.
The first tournament was the under twelve mixed teams. Clifden had three teams, Tully had two teams while Eagle’s Nest, Kingstown and Claddaghduff had one team each in the competition. The winner of this tournament was Clifden A.
In the All- girls competition Clifden had two teams along with Eagle’s Nest, Tully and Kingstown who each had one team. Kingstown came out on top of that competition.
Next there was the All- boys tournament. Clifden had two teams in this competition. Claddaghduff, Eagle’s Nest, Tully and Cashel were also playing in this tournament. After a thrilling final where Clifden A played Clifden B. Clifden A came out on top and Clifden B were in second place.
It was a great day out and everyone had a brilliant time.
