Did you know that elephants need toothpaste as they, like us humans also need to brush their teeth??!!
We had some visiting scientists from 5th class to help us make some.
We used yeast , washing up liquid, food colouring and a chemical called hydrogen peroxide .The teacher poured in the hydrogen peroxide .
We wore safety goggles and our visitors wore lab coats !
Toothpaste was a bit ‘runny’ – Next time we will use a different size bottle .
We had a lot of fun and look forward to having more visiting scientists!
