The senior students of Scoil Mhuire had a very busy last week of term this week.
Our 4th and 5th class students were busy on the Connemara Rugby Pitch playing a Blitz against other local schools which was run by Ethan Griffiths in association with Aldi Ireland.
The students had a great day out and were able to put their skills learnt through recent rugby training to good use. Well done to all involved.
Students from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class braced the weather on Thursday to play in a Connemara GAA Blitz which included schools all throughout Connemara. Whilst the weather didn’t play ball, the students did and played incredibly well. We are super proud of all our boys and girls teams who played their hearts out.
They had a great day meeting new friends and playing against old rivals but overall it was a great success and a huge thanks to Mr O Brien for all his organising and training upto the event.
We had some success on the day with our senior girls team winning the Shield in their category. Well done to all involved on the day.
