Tree Identification Workshop
Recently we had a visit from Marie – Louise who taught us all about the different types of trees in our area. She helped us to draw a tree guide and then we all went on a Tree Tail around the school grounds to identify the different trees using our guide.
Maths Week 2016
Each day during Maths Week we completed Maths puzzles and problems, individually and in pairs.
One of our Maths Problems was to estimate how many marshmallows were in a jar. We all estimated and submitted our answers, then on Friday we ordered all the estimates from lowest to highest and counted the marshmallows. There was a total of 259 marshmallows in the jar. The best part was we got to eat the marshmallows afterwards.
We also completed a Maths Week Table Quiz which consisted of 10 rounds with 8 questions in each round. The winners of the quiz were Nathan D, Stephaine, Eoin and Ronan H.
