A recent visit by our 5th class to the Famine Wall in Clifden inspired some poetry from the class.
The students were covering The Irish Famine in their history studies and were welcomed to a talk about a local famine wall by Oliver who works locally in the area. It was a great afternoon visit for the students whom learned alot about a piece of history which is right on their doorstep.
